Landjaeger is a cured smoked sausage. It comes in pairs. Translated it means "country policeman". Policeman and soldiers used to put landjaeger in there pockets for long hikes because it kept well and gave them protein boost to keep on the trail.
Excellent for the cottage , on a charcuterie board, or on your next hike.
